The ceremony to drive away the devil of Kurama is one of the most famous celebrations in Japan. Kurama is located on the outskirts of Kyoto. On October 22 celebrates this festival in which men carry giant torches to scare the devil. Clothing to withstand the heat of the torches is most stark.
On 22-10-2008, the temperature was about 10 degrees and raining, so the waiting time to load each torch became too long for the cold. Here is one of the stars of the night, warming as it can and what you can. The sight is spectacular, there's er uncle.
